Firmware 3.1.3 Jailbreak / Unlock
Step 1: Preparation
Jailbreaking iPad /Iphone with Spirit is quite simple and it is the most easiest jailbreak tool available. But, before proceeding with jailbreak keep several things in mind. Below is a step by step Guide to Jailbreak your iPad with OS 3.2, or iPhone 3.1.3. Cydia will be installed automatically.
First of all you have to activate your phone:
(if already activated skip this step)
- You need any of that carriers sim what the phone is locked to.
- Put the sim in the phone and connect your phone to the PC than run itunes
- Activate your phone with iTunes
Note: Spirit jailbreak has the same process for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch.
- Spirit is only a jailbreak, and not an unlock.
2) Download Software, do the short process
So, now that you are ready, lets proceed with the jailbreak:
- Download the iTunes 9.1.1 (it can also work with version 9.1)
- Restore with itunes using your carriers sim what the phone is locked to
- Sync iPad with iTunes
- Download Spirit jailbreak for Windows and Mac

- Unzip Spirit
- Right click on Spirit.exe and check “Run this program in compatibility mode for:”, then select “Windows 98/ME”if you are on Windows 7/Vista, we were using Windows 7.
- If you are on Windows Xp dont need to select compatiblity.
- Run Spirit.exe
- Wait for a few seconds, iPad will reboot, and after that you can see Cydia on your iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch screen.
- Step 3: Once your iPhone is jailbroken, start “Cydia” application on your iPhone and touch on “Manage” tab on the bottom. Now touch on “Sources” as seen in the screenshot below:
Note: T-Mobile users should disable 3G before installing ultrasn0w.
Step 4: Touch on “Edit” and then on “Add”. You will be prompted to enter a url source as seen in the screenshot below. Type http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com and touch on “Add Source”.
Cydia will now automatically update your sources by following a series of automated steps.
Step 5: Once the repository has been added successfully, Search for “ultrasn0w” in Cydia and install this application. The latest version 0.92 of this app will automatically unlock your iPhone so that you can use it with any carrier with proper carrier name/logo.
Step 6: Now simply restart your iPhone. Voila! You should now have a fully unlocked iPhone 3G/3GS on firmware 3.1.3.
