Before going through the jailbreak, please check the following:
- The iDevice has been backed up
- The iDevice has had the SHSH key saved
- The iDevice is connected to a wifi connection
1. On the iDevice open safari and close all of the open pages by selecting the icon in the bottom right of the screen and closing all the windows using the red x
2. On the iDevice enter the web page http://www.jailbreakme.com
3. On the iDevice select "Slide to Jailbreak"
4. Select the option to Jailbreak your iDevice if it appears. You will then see the screens displayed below.
4. When you see the screen below you have completed the jailbreak.
Note: If you see an error message such as the one below repeat the steps again. This means that the site is handling multiple download requests at once.
5. Security Patch
It is very important that you apply the following patch in Cydia!
When the iPhone has rebooted you must install the following patch "PDF Patch" in Cydia click on the search icon in the bottom right corner and enter PDF in the search bar.
6. Select the "PDF Patch" and click install and then confirm. After the install has completed Reboot the iPhone
7. Congratulations, your iDevice has been successfully jailbroken and protected!
